Married at First Sight Season Season 8 Episodes 1 & 2 ~ Initial Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Married At First Sight is back on Lifetime and I can't think of a better way to start the New Year! Each season, production company Kinetic Content gives us a new little twist. With Season 8 in Philly, that extra something comes with the addition of a couple and an extra 30 minutes of airtime! Here are my initial thoughts on the not three, but four couples this season.

Jasmine, 30, is putting it all on the line to find love. She owns her own home, has a successful career and knows what it's like to be in a long-term relationship.

Will, 37, has great role models in both a father and stepfather. His ultimate goal is to find his lifetime partner and start his own family.

They are both kind, thoughtful and respectful people, which is a good place to start building a foundation for love. Marrying a stranger is awkward, to say the least. The presence of cameras makes it even more uncomfortable for Will, who is admittedly guarded and reserved. Will Jasmine have to spend the entire eight weeks trying to get him to open up and feel comfortable with her and their marriage?

At 35, financial advisor Stephanie is looking for her forever man. Having been cheated on in past relationships, she needs someone who is committed and most of all, someone who can be trusted.

AJ, a 37-year-old entrepreneur, is tired of eating dinner alone. After five years of the single life, he's more than ready to give this marriage his all. And giving it all, he is.

Aj seems to be a sincere man, but just watching his over-the-top exuberance is exhausting. Is it due to wedding day nerves, the crazy situation of marrying a stranger or is this his normal M.O.? Will Stephanie be able to match his energy or will it start wearing her down?

Kate, 28, is a successful marketing strategist. She has a close relationship with her mother, but her father spent most of his time working. After 30 years, he left his family. What Kate needs most is someone who will put her first. She totally deserves that, but what she feels on her wedding day is rejection.

Single at 30, Luke spends most of his time working several jobs. He values honesty. What he clearly doesn't value, is forced intimacy on his wedding day. At this point, it's hard to tell if he's that uncomfortable or if he's just not into Kate...at all. Season previews reveal Luke said he was repulsed and felt dead inside by her kiss. His actions seem to match his words. How do you overcome that?

Kristine, a 28-year-old real estate agent, admits to being a diva and likes to be called, 'Queen'. Although she's sabotaged past relationships with her high standards, she's ready to put her trust in the experts to find her the perfect scientific match. Kristine is looking for an already successful man. Keith has a great work ethic and promising future, but he's not there yet.

At 30, Keith still lives with the grandmother that raised him. He is holding down a job as a patient care technician while going to school. He's looking for a nurturing wife that will cook him three squares. Kristine is not the domestic type. They have chemistry off the charts, but is that enough? Can they put aside their pre-conceived gender role ideas and give this marriage a fair chance?
