Married at First Sight Season 8 ~ Predicting the Future

With Season 8 of Married at First Sight coming to an end, it's time to make predictions on whether the couples choose to stay married or get a divorce. My thoughts have been going in a certain direction in the last few weeks. Last night's episode solidified things even more for me. Let's get to it...

We've all heard the saying "opposites attract", but to build a foundation of love, common core values have to be shared. Will and Jasmine have some conflicting core values.

We saw early on that gender roles were going to be a problem. While Jasmine wants a man to take care of her and pay the bills, Will wants someone to be an equal partner.

They are also on different pages with career goals. Will values serving people and wants a job that he is passionate about. Jasmine is more focused on money. A high paying job represents stability for her.

Jasmine's love language is physical touch. Will's love language is acts of service. When you have differing love languages, you must speak in your partner's language. Their lack of effort in this area led to zero intimacy. This sealed the deal for me. I predict Will and Jasmine both choose to get a divorce over irreconcilable differences.

It was clear that AJ and Stephanie had instant chemistry. They were both smitten from the first time they saw each other.

AJ and Stephanie also share a love for life. Their quick wit and easy banter made for good times filled with lots of laughs. But it wasn't all fun and games.

AJ was easily frustrated with the stress of melding two lives with the filming schedule. His quick temper has certainly given me cause for concern. Having said that, Stephanie seemed to be able to de-escalate each situation with her calm, easy-going manner.

I believe AJ and Stephanie are falling in love with each other and for that reason, they will choose to stay married. Time will tell if his frustration is solely due to the filming schedule. The reunion show should be interesting.

Where do we begin with Luke and Kate? I am a glass half full person and I try to remain positive. But there is nothing positive I can say about this relationship. It has been a tough one to watch.

I believe Luke has been manipulative with Kate from the beginning. His words and his actions have been contradicting. He has gaslighted her on almost every conversation we've seen.

Kate is a committed, trusting person. She's willing to put up with a lot more than I am. It's sad to hear her friends say Luke is stifling her and she's not the same person she was before. A partner should compliment you and encourage you to grow.

My hope is that Kate has had enough and will choose to divorce Luke, but I predict Luke will be the one to end the marriage. Either way, I think it's going to be finally over.

Keith and Kristine have been a complete joy to watch. They've had the perfect blend of passion, communication and compromise.

We've watched Keith grow as a person and a husband. He listened to Kristine's needs and followed up with actions to show change. He may not be where Kristine would want him to be career-wise, but he shows great promise.

Keith and Kristine are committed to doing whatever it takes to make their marriage work. This couple is in love and definitely choosing to stay married.

Yikes! The show experts, Dr. Jessica Griffin, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Pastor Calvin Roberson do not look happy with someone on Decision Day. My last prediction is that this moment will be directed at Luke for his treatment of Kate. Do you agree?
